You are about to access a Procedural Map. Before you do, it is important, for your own safety, that you know what a Procedural Map is – and what it is not.

By accessing and using a Procedural Map, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accept these Terms, and our Privacy Policy. If you do not, then you must not use any Procedural Map.

A Procedural Map is NOT a substitute for a conventional map. It is not based on aerial photographs, like (for example) Google Earth. It does not have the accuracy you would expect from a conventional map. It cannot be relied on to give precise locations, or to plan detailed routes.

Instead, a Procedural Map is a software service that helps you to visualise a location, to understand what a particular location is actually likely to look like, taking into account the time of day and the time of year.

A Procedural Map will NOT show every single crevasse or dead end path. It will not show every tree in its real world position. We do not collect or vet the data on which the Procedural Map is based, and cannot guarantee how accurate it is. We simply expect that it will give you a fairly good idea of the picture you are likely to see when you look at the landscape as a whole, and a particular time of day and time of year.

A Procedural Map is designed for use alongside a conventional map – you need both – and then to use the conventional map for navigation and safety, and the Procedural Map to help you visualise what the terrain on the conventional map is actually likely to look like.

Procedural Maps are provided as a software service, without charge to you, for interest only, and are "as is" and "as available".

You must not rely on a Procedural Map for navigation, or where safety is concerned. We do not owe you a duty of care.

For these reasons, if you do rely on a Procedural Map for navigation, or where safety is concerned, we will not accept any liability, even if we are shown to have been negligent.

These Terms shall not be construed to convey or transfer any ownership or proprietary interest in any Intellectual Property Rights in Procedural Maps to you or any third party.

You may not translate, adapt, vary, modify, disassemble, embed in webpages, decompile or reverse engineer Procedural Maps or create derivative works of the same for any purpose without Procedural’s prior written consent.
